Interview With Shiloh Walker and Giveaway

Southern Magic is proud to interview Shiloh Walker!

She will be at our luncheon in Hoover, Alabama November 5 with Jennifer Ashley, Hildie McQueen, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Lynn Raye Harris, Dianna Love and 20 plus authors.

Who are your top five authors to read?
Nora Roberts/JD Robb, Lynn Viehl, Nalini Singh, Stacia Kane and Patricia Briggs

What is your go-to book to read over and over again?
Oh...only one??? Endurance, by SL Viehl

Who influenced your writing the most? Why?

Probably Nora Roberts. Her book Honest Illusions really hooked me on romance and I love how she writes families.

Describe where you are the most productive when you write.
Any place where my kids aren't!

Tells us a little about your current book?

My most recent print release is The Right Kind of Trouble, which wraps up my McKay trilogy. It's a second chance lovers sort of story, as well as a romantic suspense. Gideon and Moira were childhood sweethearts, but just as Moira was going to start college, her parents died and she left to raise her younger brother and sister on her own. Things (in other words, Moira) drove them apart, but Gideon never stopped loving her. Now, they've got one last chance, and only one, because Gideon is about ready to turn in his badge and move on to another town.

Show us your one favorite scene of dialogue from that book.

He started toward the door.

A pillow hit him in the back of the head.

Blowing out a breath through his teeth, he stared at the floor.

Another throw pillow came sailing through the air and hit him in the back. He turned around just in time to catch the third and he glared at her. “Just because they are called throw pillows doesn’t mean you can pelt me with them, sugar.”

She looked around, a half-wild look on her face.

“If you throw one more thing at me, I’m going to arrest you for assault, you hear me?”

What do you believe makes a man sexy?
A sense of humor, responsibility...loving his family. Being cute doesn't hurt.

Here's her short bio.

I can honestly say I don't think I've ever had a pillow fight! I should probably do something about that.

Thanks for hosting the giveaway! The Right Kind of Trouble sounds like an excellent read. I'll have to look into that trilogy.

In my foster home whenever we got a new child in we as kids and had been there for a long time would turn off the lights stand on our beds and have a pillow fight you could get on anyones bed but if the lights went on you have to be back on your own. It was so much fun and a great way for the new ones to learn to relax and play. peggy clayton ptclayton2@aol.com
