I'll take all the glimmers I can get. How about you?

A glimmer of good news, in case you didn't see it.

Eric over at Pimp My Novel posted a market update yesterday. He included Romance in the five categories he noticed "particular growth in over the past few months."

Here's what he said:

Romance. A perennial favorite, romance is probably doing well for the same reasons as the aforementioned thrillers—it's generally inexpensive and great for beach or poolside reading. Romance readers also tend to buy repeatedly and generally buy more books per purchase than other readers, so the effect may be amplified by those kinds of consumer habits.

Not that I'm going to break out the Champagne, but it's nice to see something positive.

JoAnn, and I've noticed a bunch of debut romance authors lately. SO THE BIG HOUSES ARE BUYING AGAIN!
