DECEMBER KICK-OFF

Are you ready for Christmas?

In the spirit of the season many of us here at Romance Magicians Blog have decided to celebrate this month with giving away books and prizes.

Our hope is to bring a bright spot into your life. We may not be able to take what weighs upon you this month, but we can make you smile.

There is only one caveat: Prizes can only be sent within the continental United States, and Canada (I apologize, shipping becomes prohibitive after that). The only exception is Electronic prizes (We have a few of those! So make sure you check!)

So come check out the blogs this month, you never know what you will find or win!

To kick it off, I am giving a book away to someone who posts a reply to this. It is a Christmas Anthology--
REGENCY CHRISTMAS PROPOSALS, with stories by by Gayle Wilson, Amanda McCabe, and Carol Mortimer. --a Perfect way to start the season.

The prize winner to announced tomorrow, December 2.
(I will put all the names in a hat and pull out a name randomly).

May this season bring good things for you!
**Winners announced in the comments section--Congrats to the winners! ***
***IF YOU DON'T CLAIM YOUR PRIZE IN A WEEK (send email, etc) IT WILL BE GIVEN TO SOMEONE ELSE***

I love anthologies because I always try to keep a couple of books in my car and at least one in my purse in case emergencies--like getting trapped at long stop lights. That way, I'm always prepared "not to be bored" with the added advantage of having something I can finish fairly quickly if its a busy day and I just have to know how it ends.

A Christmas Anthology with romance--especially Regency Romance--stories is perfect, of course, for the season since the unusually hectic pace presents so many tiny opportunities to snatch a few minutes reading here and there.

Thanks for the opportunity to win.
Smiles,
Teresa

Thanks for giving me the heads-up on FB about the contests! I'm also so relieved that the winner will be chosen at random.

I would love to read more short stories. The last anthology I read was Edgar Allen Poe for Halloween, so this collection would be great for Christmas reading. I do need a change of pace from stories about people being buried alive. However I must admit that that is a good plot device...

Thanks again!
Jen

Welcome Teresa!
I agree Anthologies are a perfect book to have in the car. :) I am partial to regency romances, they seem fitted for this time of year.

Good luck and thanks for participating!

Jenifer,
Thanks for stopping by...speaking of people being buried alive...I just finished something very creepy.."Let Me In" very Stephen Kingish.

But, for me I needed something lighter..so I thought I'd give a selection totally opposite. :)

Have a great day....

"Let me in." Is that a vampire book? heh.

One of the good things about an anthology is that it's a quick way to discover new authors to add to your reading list.

It is a Christmas anthology that I would love to read. I love holiday stories and have always enjoyed anthologies. I have discovered a lot of new to me authors by reading anthologies. Happy Holidays everyone.

Didn't they just make a movie called 'Let Me In'? Very creepy!

Oh, I have Regency Christmas Proposals. It's on my list to read before Christmas. ;)

This sounds like a very cool way to utilize your blog in December. Way to go!

Oooh I've read this anthology and it is FABULOUS! A real keeper.

I have a shelf of Regency Christmas anthologies and I read all of them every year around this time. Helps to get me into the Christmas spirit!

Is this a daily or weekly contest?

There should be something every week, depends on the blogger. Sometimes more. We wanted to suprise everyone! ;)
