Sigh. Missing Nationals.

So sorry! Dropped the ball today. I didn’t realize it was my turn to blog until waaaay late. Let me blame it on the fact that I’m truly bummed not to be at Nationals this year.

I’ve been writing like crazy making up for it. I at least plan to get two more books done this year. But I am thinking of my sisters there, hoping their pitches are perfect and that they glean as much information as they can from the informative workshops.

Maybe next year.

So I'm doing the day job and writing chapter after chapter. Tell me, what are you doing INSTEAD of being where you want to be?

Like you Karen, I am here mourning that I can't be at nationals.

*sigh*

What I am doing is trying to revise, and then get ready for two other stories. Like you I want to write two more books.

Can it happen?

Not sure.

I think we should make a wager on if we finish (rough draft only) two other books before the end of the year, what do you think?

You're on, missy! I'm game if you are. This sad economy and its effect on the book industry is starting to get me down. I could use a fun incentive. :)

LOL, So what can we wager...what are your likes?

It can be something as simple as say...a cup of coffee, some chocolate, or something more like a book or something else. Any ideas?

And I'm an eternal optimist--when it comes to books/publishing. When people are stressed they look for ways to "get away" and I have found more people will read, go to movies and things like that. Granted, I hope things get better, but at the same time...Thank goodness for books!

Good luck, ladies! :-)

Books, chocolate and coffee. Three of my favorite things. Sounds like a nice trip to a book store. :)

You are on! How about all three? What Is the end date?
December 31st?

Yep, sounds great. Current status: I'm almost to the middle of my second book this year, and I have a third book yet to start. Yikes. Plus, I'd like to revamp another and send it out as well. No pressure, for sure.

Coffee, chocolate, and a book. How can we go wrong? December 31st. So, I seriously had better get on it this morning.

Excellent! You area a head of me, I have to finish a revision, but I have the other two on deck for me to write....(ok, with a little tweaking)

This is going to be fun! (Do you have my email address? or do you want to post our update, at the end of our blogs when it is our turn?)

Are you on the SM Challenge loop? (And yes, I do have your email.)

Sorry Karen, I'm not on the loop! I can always join... ;-)
