Grammar Demons

Grammar smammer…

Call the grammar police!!! I need to be locked up! My biggest problem right now with writing is grammar and I mean the basics – when to use commas, semicolons, etc. Agh…the devil!!! My poor critique partners probably just roll their eyes when they read my chapters (I truly am sorry about that ladies).

What are some of your grammar demons?

Demons! How dare you call those innocent little commas and colons demons! :-)

I love all that grammar stuff because I am such a word nerd. And I'm not the only one: Check this out.

I love to use "had" as a verb. (Ain't that right, Debbie?) And heaven knows I have a problem remembering to place "ed" at the of some words.

A lot of us use had as a verb. Maybe it's a Southern thing. I hate that some of the rules have changed since I learned them.
